This August was super busy and I only ended up reading two books

I might have only finished reading two books but they were both excellent books that I a so glad I have read and they should both defiantly be on your to read book shelfs.

Mustashes for Maddie
This is a super cute book about a girl who thinks mustaches are funny but then she has to have brain surgery for a tumor. I loved her cute middle school voice and her worries not just about her tumor but about friends and parts in a school play etc. She felt like a real little girl and I loved that this book was based on a true story!  Maddie is really real. I introduced my 10 year old to this book too and she loved it so much. It is perfect for that age group and well worth it. 5 stars from me.

The Merchant and the Rogue
As always Sarah delivers. I love the Penny Dreadful series because you get three stories in one. All three books woven in this one were a joy to read and I loved loved loved Vera and Brogan and their different cultures and history. I loved their slow burn romance and how we got to see their growing affection. It is a great book and so fun. 5 stars from me as well.
Both are worth reading

Romance in three different sub-genre's say what?!! haha

This month I went for three romances in three different sub genres.
1. Finding Jack by Melanie Jacobson (sweet Contemporary Romance) This book was a lot of fun. About two people who both didn't feel like they were ready for a real relationship or didn't deserve one yet and yet they were attracted to each other so strongly they couldn't resist trying to be at least something. I enjoyed this book a lot it was a fun cute read. 4 stars from me.
2. Seeking Persephone by: Sarah M Eden (Regency Romance) Okay so this is a book that I have to reread everyone in a while seriously this was like my 4th read of it because I love it. Adam is such a fantastic beastly character and Persephone is so sweet I can't help but think of this as a beauty and the beast kind of tale and I love that. If you haven't read this one yet, just do. It's worth there read. 4.5 stars from me and reread ability.
3. Fatham by L. L. Standage (Paranormal Young Adult Romance/Adventure) I loved this book. I was so shocked that it wasn't what I thought it was going to be and so pleased that I didn't guess it all from the start. It surprised me and kept me guessing. It was a fun mermaid adventure with a side of romance and well worth the read if you like mermaid books. I give it 5 stars and am already looking forward to the release of the next book titled Chasm.
Hope you are hitting your reading goals! Keep at it.

This month I got to read four books and release my newest one. YAY!

1. A Proper Scoundrel by Esther Hatch. I was so looking forward to this book and it did not disappoint. I loved it so much. I already want to read it again. This series by Esther Hatch is brilliant and if you love regency romance and haven't read them yet, put them on the top of your to read pile. Seriously!  I loved that this book was about Diana Barton and Lord Bryant. I loved how she wanted his help because he was considered a scoundrel and how we learn who he really is. It has some hilarious and super cute moments. It is a must read and 5 stars from me.
2. Georgana's Secret by Arlem Hawks I loved how this book takes place on the high seas. I loved how she was in disguise and how she developed a friendship with Dominic and how they helped each other through the harshness of the ship. It was a super fun read and so easy to picture in my mind. 4.5 stars from me and a must read for you.
3. Deal with the Elf King by: Elise Kova I was told this was a fun read and it really was a fun read. I loved the fantasy elements of elves and humans and how there was magic that both worlds needed to survive. I thought it was magical and fun and the romance was fun too. (READER WARNING) there are some intimate scenes that surprised me in this book so if you are not okay with that then this book isn't the one for you. I give it 4 stars.
4. His 4th of July Drama by: Cassandra Shiels. So Cassandra is my pen name for my sweet contemporary romance books and I am counting this book this month since I read it like 4 times to get it ready for it's release. I love it and I'd love for you to read it too.
It was a fun reading month I can't wait to see what books I get finished next month.
Let's keep reading!!

I only got two in this month but I've been working hard on my book that comes out next month, and we moved so.... That's just how it went. lol

1. Friends and foes By Sarah M Eden Sigh! I love this book. This is only my second read of it but it was again so good. I just love Sarah's books. Sorrel and Phillip are not only my favorites in this book but in the next books as well. I love the romance and their war and the suspense. It is a must read. 5 stars from me.
2. Wold Blood Academy by RaShelle Workman. This is a fun Paranormal Young Adult read. I loved the school aspect of it and how she is special but that doesn't mean that she is instantly liked. It is a fun start to a newer series. I'll have to read the next one soon. 4 stars.
Next month hopefully I can squeeze out another book or two.

I got to read 5 books this month!!!

I love it when I get to read more books than usual and 5 is a really good month for me. YAY!
1. Escape to Everly Manor by: Chalon Linton. Instant love!! I could hardly put this book down. It was adorable and suspenseful and  I really loved Barton. Lizzy and Thomas had a super cute brother and sister relationship. It's a 5 star book from me.
2. The kiss of a Stranger by: Sarah M Eden This is like my fourth time reading this book and as always I love it. Its just the kind of book that must be revisited every once in a while. I love Crispin and Catherine and how this book is the start of the Jonquil brother's books. This isn't my first time reading and it won't be the last. 5 stars from me
3. A Proper Charade By: Esther Hatch. I wasn't sure if I would love this book as much as the first just because it was the second book but I loved it just as much as the first. It was amazing!! Sigh. Patience hiding as a servant was captivating from the moment she thought up the idea. I loved how she had no idea how to do the job, which lead to some hilarious scenes and I loved Mr. Woodsworth, let's just add another sigh right here. haha. 5 stars from me.
4. A case of Extreme Mistaken Identity by Victorine E. Liseke. Victorine is one of my insta read authors I've loved every book of her's that she's written and this book was right on target. A victorine book for sure. I loved that Danica got cut off and that she needed help and found it right away from a good guy. Austen was sweet and I loved that about him right away. The stalker added a fun suspense element I really appreciated. 4.5 stars from me!
5. Not a Word By Stephanie Black. This was a fun book. I loved the suspense. I loved how I honestly couldn't figure out who the bad guy was. I kept changing my mind through the book. haha. And I loved the suspenseful and dangerous ending. squeee. Natalie Marsh was a fun character and I'm glad that she gets more than one book. 4 Stars from me.
Thanks for reading up on these fun books I got to enjoy. I hope you will pick a few of them up!

Such fun books!!

1. Catherine's Intrigue by Paige Edwards
This was a thrilling book. I loved how the romance wove in with the suspense elements of this book. The setting felt magical simply because it took place in Britten and Scotland and I loved how we got to read the book from both the protagonists point of view and the villains point of view. Way fun 4 1/2 stars.
2. A guarded heart. By hide Kimball. I loved Eleanor right away and felt bad for her from the get go. I wanted her to find happiness and joy and I read the book quickly hoping that she'd find it. Edmund was a fun character too and I of course wanted things to work out for them and that he'd just wise up already. Cute read! 4 stars
3. A proper Scandal by Esther Hatch. Instantly loved this book. It was a read in less than 24 hours kind of a book which tells me it is worth 5 stars easily. I was so worried about Grace and I just wanted her to find a safe home. With only 2 weeks to find a marriage and save her reputation she is left with little options. The ticking clock element in this book was excellent and I cannot wait to read book 2!!

I hope you have an opportunity to pick up each of these books they are well worth the read.

February books that I read

I only got three books under my belt this month but they all took me a lot longer to read which usually is a sign that I liked them but didn't love them and that is how I felt about all three of these books. I liked them, they were good, they had some really good parts I loved about them and some parts I was okay with. I did enjoy them and would probably still give all of them 3.5-4 stars. And I would say that they are worth checking out.

January!

Here are all the books that I read in January. I spent the week thinking about these books and trying to decide on a top favorite book and it was really hard they are all so good and all so fun.
Pride and Prejudice: A classic who's story I know so well, all I could do was laugh and sigh and cringe at the right spots. A joy!!
The Duke Meets His Match: Instantly fell in love with this one. It was so much fun, and I literally forgot everything else I was supposed to be doing until I finished it.
The Best Laid Plans: Like all of Sarah's books this one felt like coming home. I loved it. It was sweet and cute and gave me all the warm feelings.
The Valentine's Date Mistake: Is my new release and yes I did actually reread it in January.  I think it's a cute story but I'm also the author so....
Otherwise engaged: I loved her spirit, and the accidental romance, and how she really should have known that she promised her heart to the wrong guy. Come on!  It was a fun book and I loved every moment of it.
FAVORITE?

Picking a favorite is impossible, this month anyway. But if push came to shove and my life depended on me picking a favorite book this month I'd have to choose, The Duke Meets His Match. It just drew me in and held me tight.
*** Also did anyone else notice that I got sucked into the regency romances this month?  Man I better mix it up next month! ha ha ha

Now Lucas must rely on the help of his closest friends to win the heart of a lady who loathes him-a lady he s coming to love more deeply every day.

My review:

Full of heart and sweet Romance!
So this book is full of heart. There is a lot of hurt and hope in this book. There is a lot of cute scenes and times when you want to ring both of their necks. I loved it. I cried more than once and smiled like a fool a lot more times. This book is sweet and tender and it makes me love their boys all the more. If you love historical romance and very sweet stories then you will love this book. It is beautifully done and even thought I just recently read it, I am ready to read it again. You will love their friends the Gents and also love a few surprise characters as well. Thank you for another great one Sarah!

Sarah's books are an instant buy for me. I love all of her books but especially her Jonquil and Lancaster family books. So when I heard that she was writing a book about the Parents of our favorite Jonquil boys, I was so excited! I was honored to be part of her release team, and read this book early and am so happy to post a review on its release day today.
